Sharing Space with Students

Kendal residents invited students from the Washington Irving Intermediate School (for third to fifth graders) to share their projects that were part of “The Memoir Project” in the Challenge ELA class, a class for high achieving students.  They also invited pre-schoolers to visit in their Hallowe'en costumes.

Sharing Nature's Beauty

Residents also revel in the beauty of nature along the Hudson River, in adjacent Rockwood Park, their own garden plots, terrace flowers, and beautiful plantings on Kendal grounds.

Anne Swaim from the Saw Mill River Audubon Society joined a group of residents April 28, 2016 to see what birds had arrived in the Kendal area. Click on the > in the picture below to see a slide show of the event.  Click on the play triangle in the second picture to play a brief video clip of the event.
